Roof Cost

Hello,

Had to get a new roof.

I know it is a home improvement. Is it 39 years???

Also, when they took off the shingles, they found that all the wood below was rotted and had to replace all wood sheets which cost another $4000!!!!

Is the cost of the wood sheets a repair???? Cost for the roof alone was $8500. Wood sheeting was $4000. What about the labor??

Depreciate the time-space % of all the roof costs ($12,500 + labor) over 39 years as a home improvement.
