    Improvement, I Think

Just want to double check that these would be considered improvements and not repairs:

    1. Replaced garage door opener because it was starting to have issues.
    2. Replaced garage door because the original was deteriorating.
    3. Replaced two screen doors and 4 windows that were deteriorating and non-operational at times. Also had to tear down and rebuild the two walls containing the doors and windows due to wall deterioration.
    4. These were DIY projects, so I can count any of the hours?

    #1 is a repair. #2 is a repair. #3 is an improvement
I wouldn't count any of the hours because if you weren't in business you would have worked the same number of hours.
