    Double Checking About Quarterly Payments

The one due on April covers months January, February and March.

The one due in June covers April, May?
The one due in September covers June, July, August?
The one due in January covers October, November, December?

    Is this right?

Almost. The one due in January covers September, October, November and December. Even though we refer to estimated taxes as paying quarterly, the quarters of the year are not equal.
