    Relative Childcare and Taxes

I do relative childcare and I am paid partially throuugh SRS/DCF and partially by the parents. Can I claim anything on my taxes?

    Absolutely!!!

Claim all of your income and your expenses. You will need to give the clients your social security number or you can get an EIN from the IRS if you do not want to give out your social.

The agencies that pay you should send you a 1099 form by the end of January. You will claim that differently than you do your private pay.

Hopefully Tom will chime in and give you more thorough advice!

Thanks! I'm waiting on the 1099. I'm actually a little surprised I haven't gotten it!
