    Attendance question

Apparently according to the DHS rules i am supposed to keep track of the attendance of my own kids, even though they are obviously with me at all times anyway. Now since i am not allowed to right them off in taxes how can i use my minute menu to add them now. Since i have about 11 months of no record of them being here! What should i do that will save me from having to update 11 months of times for my own children

+Minute Menu Kids Pro has an option to add a child and to specify whether it's your own child or not. You'll see the window as you start entering the info when you add a child.

Unfortunately this means that you'll have to manually enter all of the backlogged informaition and as far as I know there isn't an easier way to do this. I have never heard of this requirement before so maybe it's specific only to your State? Here I don't have to keep track of my own kids attendance since I don't claim them either but I know that you can. I tried it just now and there is a check-box to mark that reads Provider's own child along with the options about migrant worker, related child etc. (or something like that).

Unless someone has a better idea I would take a calendar and figure out which days you were closed and then enter the master hours for them from open to close then go to Attendance and go day by day to click the days that your kids were there. Just make sure not to enter their meal clounts and to keep the box that says "Claim own children" unchecked.
