Can i put our new couch as a income expense for the daycare use since its in the main room where the kids are most of the day? And they do play on it and sit on it a lot!

You can deduct the couch as an "ordinary and necessary" business expense because you are using it in your business. You can also use the 50% bonus depreciation rule to deduct half the business portion of the couch in 2012. See my article on this:http://www.tomcopelandblog.com/2012/...-its-2012.html
