Rainbow Cleaning System?

My mother had a demo on a Rainbow Cleaning system..I have to say I was impressed and it was pretty amazing. But the downfall is its a $2600 dollar system (up to $400 taken off for trade and other ppl's names down)

Well it is a purifier, vaccum and all this stuff in one...But they have solution in it to disinfect the air..How wonder to kill all the kiddo's germs!!

So my question is if we would get one now and make payments on it, could we claim that on taxes? Of course it would run all the time, but the main purpose would be to cut back on germs for all the kids.

It is a pain in the hiney to use on a daily basis. If you have the TIME to use it, it would be nice. It just about doubles the amount of time it takes to vacuum.
We were given an older version (the older ones work quite well, too). I will stick to my regular vacuum.
You can purchase a less expensive air purifier that works better. They're around $500ish.

I'm sure you can write off the payments, though, if you do buy it.

I have a Kirby and I love it, but honestly can a vacuum really purify the whole house? No. Most of my husbands family has these and they say its a royal pain!

You can deduct the time-space % of the cost and then depreciate it over 7 years. You can use the new 50% bonus depreciation rule to claim half of the business portion in 2012 and depreciate the rest over 7 years. Or, if you can say that you use it more than 50% of the time for your business you can use the Section 179 rule and deduct the cost in one year (use Form 4562, Part I).
