    Computer

I have a dell laptop i use a lot for daycare use. I know i cant use the deduction for paying for it since i bought it before i started. Is there any other deductions like interest spent on it?

Can't you write it off as a start up cost? Or maybe depreciation?

You can depreciate items you purchased before you went into business and then use in your business. So, you can depreciate your computer based on its fair market value at the time you first started using it in your business. Multiply the value by your time-space% and depreciate over 5 years. You can also deduct the time-space % of any interest you pay in 2012 for this computer.
