letting go assistants because not enough kids to pay them?

I also have a question related to this... If I have staff and need to let them go because I loose children and can't pay them anymore, will I have to pay unemployment like a DC Center will do with a staff? Sorry if the question is stupid but i really don't know.

    lay off staff

If you lay off an employee it could affect the amount you pay in the future for state unemployment taxes. If the employee doesn't file for unemployment it will have no effect.

Is it legal for me to put in the contract for them not to file unemployment? Explaining them the situation of a home day care business?
