Do I Need to Save Receipts if I Copy Them?

I scan all of my receipts onto my computer and enter them into MMK every 3 months.

If I scan all of my receipts onto my computer, do I really need to keep all paper receipts? I hate keeping them stacked in folders just to never look at them again. I save them to a back-up hard drive so I'm not worried if my computer crashes or anything.
