    Broken Toys?

Ok, seems like this is the year of busted toys. I keep throwing them away and thinking that maybe we will be toy free by August!

is there anyway to deduct or get "credit" of some sort for the destruction of these toys?

I am just annoyed by the investment lost much earlier than the toy should have been out of commission.

    Thank you!

You should have received credit on your taxes when it was purchased or accquired.

If you replace, you will get credit on your taxes.

Toys need to be replaced all the time. I check the clearance aisle at Walmart every time I go. I can deduct whatever I spent.

        Yep, pretty much.

If the broken toys are made of hard plastic toss them into the recycling bin instead of in the trash bin. At least you can help the environment by recycling the busted toy so it can be made into something new. Not much of a consolation I know but at least it's something
