I closed my daycare this past August and we are thinking about selling our house. I know we will have to pay capital gains from the depreciations we took over the years, but do we have to wait any length of time before selling our home to lessen the amount we will owe.

No, you don't have to wait any time after closing your business to sell your home. Before 1997 there was a rule where it did make a difference when you sold your home. No longer.
