Writing Off A Trip Out Of State

If you go out of state, and visit some other daycares home and/or center based to get ideas for set-up, curriculum and general feel for how others are ran, can you write off any expenses? Like gas/hotels/meals?

    Trips

You can only deduct a trip if the primary purpose of the trip is for your business. This means that more than 50% of the reason for the trip must be business. If it is, you can deduct 100% of the airfare, hotel, rental car, gas, and 50% of the food you eat away from home.
