I painted my out side pillars and entry door and trim around doors this summer. do i put any hours into mmk for this?

Yes, but did you do this strictly for the daycare (like a separate daycare entrance perhaps?); or does it add to your entire house's curb appeal?
If it was something that added to your entire house's value; I believe you would enter the time according to your time/space percentage. So if you spent a total of 8 hours working on this; and your TS % is 25%; you would enter the time as 8 x 25%= 2 hours. Anyone feel free to correct if I am wrong!
If it was strictly for daycare purposes only; you could enter the entire time.- Flag

You should only count hours for activities that you wouldn't be doing if you were not doing child care. Since you didn't spend more time painting your home because you were in business, I wouldn't count any of this time. (You can count the time-space % of the cost of the paint.)
If you painted an exclusive business use room, you would count all the time. If you normally spend 3 hours a week cleaning your home, but now spend 8 hours because of your business, you can count 5 hours as business time.
