[My Daycare]

Is it OK to file separately, if married? We have 2 businesses and I am going to run it both ways to see which turns out is better...If it's legal.

Also, when filing separately, who claims the kids? We have 3, but one is my dh's, so I figure he would have to claim his?

Filing separately

If you are married you can file jointly or separately, whichever way comes out better for you. In general, filing jointly is going to be better in most situations. If you file separately you can decide who will claim the children.
