How Do I Start?
I have run an in-home daycare "officially" for 3 years now (I didn't know I had to be licensed until then). I now care for 4 preschoolers (ages 3.5 triplet boys and 3.5 girl) and a 1 year old. I have never followed a set curriculum....just taught as the day went along. Now that my older DCKs should be getting ready for kindergarten I feel the need for something more structured. My question is...how do I start? I already have a schedule .... just not an "official" preschool plan. Also, how can I include the 1 year old who idolizes the older children and wants to be included in everything?
The older kids already know their shapes, colors, can count to 10 and know some letters. They are weak in writing and letter recognition. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
