What Is Everyone Reading These Days For Themselves?

What is everyone reading these days for themselves?

I need to pick up reading again and need a good book for myself. I go through phases of reading and need to jump back on the reading road. Post what your reading, what you have read and what you recommend-

    Thank you

Janet Evanovich Notorious Nineteen http://www.evanovich.com/novels/plum...ious-nineteen/ Laugh out loud funny!

Ann Rule Too Late to Say Goodbye http://authorannrule.com/Books_Home_Page.php True crime type book...LOVE her short stories

I often read more than one book at a time and have several on reserve waiting to be read. I will read anything that is interesting but still have my favorite authors too.

I borrowed my sister's Fifty Shades of Gray-just the first book-aaaaaannnd, it's been sitting on my dresser since Thanksgiving. I have no recommendations from personal reading, but have heard that this series is great!

The only thing I read right now is this forum, papers my kiddos bring home from school, and a few blogs (thanks BC-dog shaming, people i want to punch in the throat, etc) oh and Ivy and Bean with dd.

I still need to Read Rick Castle's first book, Heat Wave. Got it for Christmas and keep forgetting to read it.

I've also been going through a lot of my old SciFi and Fantasy on my shelves.

Mercedes Lackey, Diane Duane, Tamora Pierce.

Read Divergent recently--LOVE IT! Can't wait to justify getting Insurgent.

Reread Harry Potter recently too. I've been thinking about getting Meg Cabot's Heather Wells mysteries as a nice dose of "brain chocolate".

I read a lot, can you tell?

I discovered a Kindle sale for a mystery publishing house, so I've been reading funny mysteries lately:

Front Page Fatality by LynDee Walker
Diners, Dives, and Dead Ends, and Last Diner Standing by Terri Austin
          Lowcountry Boil by Susan Boyer
Portrait of a Dead Guy by Larissa Reinhart

          Love them! happyface

Right now I am bouncing between the original Sherlock Holmes, Free Range Learning, Dumbing Us Down and the Beginner's Running Handbook. They basically describe me, a mystery lover, unschooler, and wanna-be-runner (starting to train for a 1/2 marathon).
We are going to the beach this weekend, so I am looking for something a bit "lighter" to read while there. I may look at the ones you listed, AfterSchoolMom. Thanks!

I recently read the first Jack Reacher series book by Lee Child. Right now I'm reading one of Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta books. Can you tell I like series books ?

I go through off and on reading phases too...recently read the 50 shades seeries (in 4 days). I was a little disappointed. Started reading The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein and got sidetracked...so I went with a good ol' Nicholas Sparks book- The Notebook. I know EVERYONE loves that horrible movie, but read the book...it is 600 million and a half times better. I watched the movie once after I read the book and will never watch it again
Everyday is a new day, with its own challenges, but even the bad days are good.lovethis

Joyce Meyer's book Change Your Words, Change Your Life: Understanding the Power of Every Word You Speak

LOVE Joyce Meyer. If you are a Christian, you should like her page on Facebook so you can read the wonderful status updates she makes each day. Such a neat woman of God.

It's a Christian book we are going through in my Bible study group. By myself, I am reading The Power of a Praying Woman.
