    Dating the daycare provider?

My child (9 months old) is with a licensed in-home daycare. She has a 20 year old "helper." I have just learned that my childs father (whom I am no longer with) is dating the 20 year old helper!! I immediately took my child out of that daycare. Per my contract I am supposed to give 30 days written (paid) notice. Do I have any legal right not to pay this?

Thanks for the advise and recommendations!

I understand that you are hurt by this, but I don't understand what exactly it was that prompted you to pull your child from care. If anything, the young woman who is dating your child's father is more likely to be caring to your child because she has a connection with him. I'm assuming there must be more to the situation than you've brought up here, but if it's as simple as you pulling your child without notice because you don't like that your ex is dating an employee of the daycare, then I wouldn't think you had any legal way out of the contract that you signed.

I agree with the above statement, as you didn't mention they had done anything wrong.

I know that this was hurtful, but I would think it would only increase the quality of care your child received. I don't think you have any legal recourse here and you are responsible for payment as per the contract. Sorry.
