New Daycare on the Big Island of Hawaii

Hi my name is Annie. I have lurked on this forum for a while I was going through the licensing process, now I am licensed and thought I would join. First are there any apps that make it easier to use this forum on a phone? When I'm at home my only internet is on my phone.
I have recently become a single parent, I have a 4 year old daughter who is with me most of the time, she is with her dad on the weekends. The house I am doing daycare from is owned by my parents and I will pay them rent as soon as I sign up some more kids and make more money. I have been watching two girls part time for a year (in my state you can watch up to two kids not your own without a license). They are easy kids and their mom is very laid back, we have not really had a contract and it has worked out fine. However I know from reading this forum that things don't always go so smoothly. Since I got my license I have picked up one more part time kid, a little boy, and interviewed several more. There is a childcare shortage in my area right now so I should do well once things really get going. I just signed up for the food program and am figuring out all the paperwork.
Other than daycare, I am trying to have a mini farm on my property. I have a coop with chickens for eggs, meat rabbits, and will have gardens, still working on that. I have two dogs I am training for agility, it is challenging to have to confine them for many hours during daycare. I have a run for them but one is an escape artist and gets under the fence, so I have to tie her up on a short leash in her run. Eventually I am going to get the back yard fenced and let the dogs have that, I have 1/3 of an acre fenced so I have more than enough space for the kids even if I fence the yard in half.

Hi! Scroll to the bottom of the screen on your phone and there will be a drop down box on the left. There's an option for default or lightweight. Click lightweight and viola!! And welcome!

I have a parent who is leaving for hawaii....

I am not sure where she will be stationed, are you on a military base. I will ask her where she is going, maybe I can give her your info. I will check back later.
P.S she has a baby girl, very very good baby.

Thanks for replying, I thought I would get an e mail or something notifying me if someone replied so I forgot to check back. Food costs lots more, but you can get produce at Farmers markets for a good price. Gas prices are high and you have to drive a lot here. Energy is high but a lot of houses have solar. My area has water catchment which I love. There is no public garbage service but you can hire a private one. Most of us go the dump on a regular basis (which is free). I am on the Big island and the region that I'm in has cheap land. It is very rural here. However the cheaper it is the more likely it may be covered by lava. There is a lava flow just a few miles from me that is going to cover a highway soon, cutting off the town nearest to me and a whole region of people. Oh and the area was devastated by a hurricane a couple months ago and another is coming on Saturday!
Not sure how daycare prices here compare to other places. I am charging 30 dollars a day full time and 35 dollars a day part time. That seems to be around average.
I am not on a military base, I think most of those are on Oahu. Oahu and the Big island are completely different. I am sure daycares there charge way more.
