I would love to see what my parents do - or don't do - with their children over the weekends! Every Monday, (today, Tuesday because of the holiday), the children are incapable of playing correctly or doing much of anything correctly! They throw toys, run around the house like wild animals, fight with each other, are unbelievably tired and fussy, etc. I really don't think their parents have any rules for them at home! I think they just send them to their rooms and let them be wild all weekend long!
I hate Mondays!

We will see how my kids do today ... I only have one so far, the rest are coming in an hour and a half or so. When the kids get like this I have each of them pick out a book and sit them in seperate areas. This helps them losen up and shift from "home behavior" to "daycare behavior". I also immediately give each child a "job" to do as soon as they come in. It can be anything from putting the chairs down, to setting up for activities etc. Keeping them busy as soon as they come in helps alot.
Hope your "Monday" transtions better for ya!- Flag

LOL, yep, it's a Monday thing. Their schedules are totally off on weekends. Or totally opposite from ours. And I think since parents don't have that much time with them during the week, they tend to spoil them a bit over the weekends. When we get the kids back on Monday's its back to reality for them just as it is for us adults.- Flag
