Golf Cart??? I would have loved to have seen that!!! How Cute
      Awesome!!!
So when they go back to school, they can brag about all the fun stuff they did
It get's really easy to do field trips. We've got it down to a science. We have matching t-shirts, we count kids constantly, we have a sign in and sign out sheet for the van (so no one gets left) we have a game we call "sound off" and the kids all yell out their names in a predetermined order...not all at once,

Summer field trips are what I look forward to the most!!
No homework! ,no school pick ups, No, real strict schedule! , just fun in the sun.. we do have our reading time and we review some preschool stuff but field trips are where it's at!!!

I have had so much fun this summer, and quite a tan going too!

Good job! Don't you FEEL good too? I love how I feel on field trip days. I love having something special to do with the kids. We aim to get out of the house at least 3 days a week.

Thanks Michelle I really do like the field trip thing ALOT maybe too much, I might not be able to make myself stay home now

Sharlan, camping is so wonderful! I love to camp and I have my whole life. I take for granted some of the things I did growing up and kids these days dont always get those experiences we had.

Anne, yes! I totally underestimated the feeling of "being stuck at home" that opening the daycare made me feel. I am so glad to get movin!

Overnight camping. I've been taking my daycare kids camping at least once a summer for 18 yrs now.

I've just heard about a KOA up near Ojai that has tipis. We're going there next year.

wow! tipi's! That would be a whole new thing for them. Some of them wont even know what they are! My grandfather was part Cherokee and so he came to have a big interest in native american history. He had thousands of arrow heads and they gave me some when he passed away. Growing up he would come to my school and talk about the history/show his artifacts at Thanksgiving. You could do a whole theme or something around the native Americans! That would be awsome!

                    wow, that is so cool!
there are kids ( like my youngest daughter) that have never been camping!
My oldest have been but we have gotten into the staying at hotels and not wanting to do any work mode with her because she is the last of 6 kids.
I don't know if it's because we are just tired or lazy..
She has never had the wonderful experience of camping.
I know we need to take her.
You are so cool!! and brave!
