Do any of you work or have you worked for:

...someone that has had a child in your daycare, got pregnant and had an abortion? Not an abortion..but I did have one mom give up her baby for adoption.

...a family that the woman is being domestically abused? [COLOR="blue"][COLOR="blue"]Yes, she showed up on the doorstep with bruises. he;s doing time

...a homeless family? No

...a child and had to report suspected child abuse? Yes. 3 year old girl being sexually abused by her father. Her behavior was strange and then she started telling us. A check on her father showed he was a convicted rapist from another state. Mom did not know. THAT was a dramatic time for us all.

...a family with gambling issues? No

...with drug or alcohol abuse problems? One of my kids dad's has had several DUI's. A few months ago during circle time I asked the children if they had any good news to share. The 4 year old proudly announced "Dad gets his ankle monitor off today!!!"

Not DURING day care. But several have been over the weekends etc. (all problem dads)

These. I would hope if someone were considering an abortion they wouldn't discuss that with me. It's a little too personal for a business relationship.

TO my knowledge I will answer no to all of the questions.
I think that if one of my DCP had any abortion, I don't think that they would tell me, as I don't get personal with my clients.

I feel like I am close to my clients and I welcome them to open communication, however, I also don't allow for them to unload their drama on me.

AFAIK, none of the above.

But, I've only been open 18 months.

No to all except one. Mom arrested on 4th DUI with DCG in the car! DCF came to my school to take the child into their custody. They had to pull her off of me, screaming. She was terrified. Hands down worst thing I ever had to go through at my center. Mom got help and both are doing very well now.
