Softsoap liquid hand soap doesn't say keep out reach of kids. It says if comes in contact with eyes to just flush with water. The Dollar store here carries it. Hopefully that helps some of you with restrictions.

not only can we not have these items, we can't even store the baby saucers and seats on the premises or use them for our own babies!

Yeah I was told this also but I argued this and guess what? I won the argument::. But that's probably why I get visited more often than other providers. They probably hate me and I'm on their radar now . I got around it (for my own son that's 7 months old) because my garage is "not a part of daycare" and I keep it locked during the day so if it isn't a part of daycare then they can't search through there. I throw the bouncy seat in there during daycare hours ::. Of course each person from licensing interprets the regulations how they want so when I had one tell me she could look in the garage I asked her to show me the regulation. She moved on to the next area pretty quickly.

How very true. There's a lot of "gray" in the regs.

Two and a half hours... crazy. Thankfully it is over and you should be good for another two years right??

Passed okay! But she was very very thorough, even pointed out a few things that needed to be done that my other specialist never cared about. So every specialist is different, very gray in alot of areas!

And best part is, before that my last inspection was a year and a half ago-so she told me she will be out for an "unannounced inspection" before July 1 !!! Gotta love it! Dont worry about me for a year and a half, but give me 2 inspections within a 2 week span now!!

Seriously, she is coming out again?? Is she maybe just going to make sure you fix out the other things she pointed out that were okay in the past?

I agree, very gray areas. Only in my earlier years did I get inspected by the same worker multiple times. It seems like after she retired I've been issued a new worker every other year and each and every worker inspected differently and seemed to have their own rules and guidelines.... thankfully nothing totally crazy or out there.

I had an inspector tell me that I didn't have a health history parents report in the kids files and was suppose to and I asked to show me in the regs, and she couldn't so then she said, "well, we recommend it" .
I do agree we should have them, so I started putting them in.
But I love it when I know I'm right. ::::
