    Schedule Problems

I'm so sick of waiting until Sunday evening for this week's schedule. I'm off today. Had I known that on Friday, I could have spread out my laundry and cleaning over 3 days instead of 2. The mom supposedly gets her schedule a month at a time and yet I wait until Sundays sometimes until 8 or 9pm before I get a phone call and then it's usually her dad. I just typed up the Jan newsletter. I'm a little late for that but I've been busy. So I have in that the schedules for the following week are due Fridays. If the children are not in my care on that day, than I expect a phone call with the schedule on Friday. My hubby thinks mom is just rude and arrogant.

If the mom knows her schedule a month on advance you need to know more than a day in advance! I'd tell her you need to know how to plan your day & you can't do it if you don't know who will be in your care. Very rude in my opinion!

Why aren't you demanding a schedule for the entire month when Mom gets hers? I would type up a letter, telling all parents that their child's schedule for the month must be recieved in advance by the first Sunday of the month. In this line of work, we need to be ale to take advantage of the few precious hours we happen to have off during the week so that we can plan for things like doctors appts. etc. No way I could work without a normal schedule.

I have in my handbook schedules have to be 2 weeks out if they vary week to week. There is no reason for her not to give it to you.
