wow, already a response to my ad....it's always posted, but i updated to opening available, and i have some people coming for interview tomorrow morning.

hopefully they like what i have to offer. although i know it's a 50/50 around here. there's a licensed daycare who i am good friends with a few streets up, literally 5 min walk from here, and she's posted openings as well. hopefully they prefer unlicensed over licensed.

no not at all. every slush is different, but 7-11 is known for their consistency in the mixture. it's not chunks of ice like some slushes.

i'm a major fan of the bubblegum, but they havent had it for a while. it's always good to mix them though. layer the slurpee colors. and personally, my slurpees have to be in the big gulp cups or they dont' taste as good. that's mo.

So my 13 year old daughter just came in and I aksed her if she ever had a slurpee....Actually I called it a sluppy....she started laughing and said MOM really.... she said tongiht she will take me to get one after DC is over. She said I probably won't drink it unless they have diet ones.... I guess they are a lot of sugar? No dairy right?

Wow, So I was not raised here most of my life in the US, but I feel like I must have been under a rock for some time. I honestly don't even think I have ever been in a seven eleven store....I see them from time to time when I drive, but never had a reason to go inside one....hahhaha thanks for teaching me something new.....hahhahahah I can't wait to go see it!! a big one and no bubblegum. got it!

big gulp cup, it's red and white........ AND bubblegum is the best one. but you have to look at the consistency of the slurpee spinning in the machine. if it's sort of runny looking its no good. that means it's not iced up, and it's all syrupy (sp?) it's better if you look at the coke/pepsi and it's a light color. those are the best.

oh, and 7-11 is open 24-7, so in a small town, it's really the only option for things late at night (most things close before 10 here). But a lot of things are overpriced...

P.S. Interview went well. I certainly hope they think so as well. Looking to start on Monday! which is 2 days earlier than my other fam was supposed to start.

He will talk to his wife, and get back to me asap. Cross fingers!

                          p.s.

dad works alternating shifts as he is in law enforcement. 5 days out of the month (in rotations) dcb will shift his schedule to come later and leave later. I was worried about this in terms of payments. Because I am using Nan's sliding scale, because he leaves earlier 3 weeks out of the month, it would be 110/wk, and 3 hours later 1 week out of the month (but random days, not necessarily all at one week), I didn't want to lose out on the pay.

he questioned me in the interview if they'd pay lower rate for 3 week and higher rate for the later departure week, I punched in the numbers, and it worked out basically the same as I had figured out the hourly rate and calculated the days. but his way worked out better for me so i'm much closer to the 500/month I was hoping for, but not quite there. I'll be getting 475/month. I can live with that. And I gotta love those extra paydays when the month is longer too

OMG Slurpee...ok so first one I poured I guess was too runny and I had to dump it. The man behind the o****er yelled at me to stop wasting the slurpees....
so my daughter poured me watermelon which I must admit was super tastee.

On my other side, I don't really care for sugar so it was a bit too sweet for me...BUT I found out that they do have several sugar free ones at different locations, just not at the one that I was at. Oh and I also finally learned what the phrase BRAIN FREEZE means lmao...
thanks for the advice and telling me about them!

BTW. Great job on the new client. I really hope that it works out for everyone!!

Brain freeze means you are not drinking it properly. trick is to not let it touch the roof of your mouth. that's what gives the brain freeze. as soon as you figure out how, you're good to go.

its funny you keep talking about not too much sugar...

i can't live without sugar. mmmmmm sugar................................

haha, if i don't eat sweet stuff i actually get really sick, dizzy, start shaking like crazy and eventually black out if i don't get sugar in me.

no i am not diabetic or anything, but i have to have sugar. my dad is the same way. especially in the summer for us, we get heat stroke quickly, and i don't know if the heat/humidity plays any kind of roll on the body with sugar, but for us, we get the shakes and we basically have to shove a chocolate bar or something in our face to not pass out.

i get checked for diabetes regularly, so that is not what it is.
