    Strange Breakfast

My 3 yo came in this morning asking for green beans (edamame) with lemon. I was surprised when he ate a whole package.

This is a child who may only eat 5 bites of food the whole day.

    Strange. But impressive.

That's fantastic! Both of my kids will eat a huge bowl of edamame anytime of day. Morning is also the best time of day to eat healthy food your body needs.

Good for him! I'm a big believer in unconventional breakfasts. His body must have been craving the protein.

it beats the kid who drank the syrup from the fridge and ate the sand before he came to my house. (parents think its funny, i don't)

He is a VERY picky eater, here, and at home. He's very small for his size so I will give him something healthier whenever he asks for it.

That's awesome! Encourage it all you can.
It's better than what my DCB's mom showed up with this morning.

I dont allow outside food, but I had a 2 year old show up this morning at 6am, and mom had a take out box with leftover french fries and chicken strips and said "I'm so sorry, he refused to leave the house this morning without his leftovers from last night".

I let him have it, because he was my only child at that point, and no more showing up for 3 hours. And Fridays are our junk food day, so we were having donuts for breakfast, not much of a healthier option.

He never even ate any, he just played with the box for awhile then got down to play and later ate some donuts and blueberries.

Nice! Gotta love things like that.

My DD often eats dinner leftovers for breakfast. She's not big on dinner and often asks to save her plate in the fridge for the next day.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!
