Hi, I've been checking out this forum for a few days now and have a question about one of my dcg's (year and a half). She has recently been sick (though not contagious anymore) so I know she still feels miserable, but she has started crying and clinging to her dad at drop off time in the AM. She has done this randomly over the last year, but never consistently or anything to really worry about. The past three days she has really freaked out when it was drop off time. Crying hysterically and clinging to dcd's legs. He feels horrible, of course. I tell him it's normal and she will stop after he leaves, and she does normally, but I think it's taking it tolls on the dad. I've heard all kids do this at some point, is that true? Do I just need to work through it right now? I just don't know how to help her transition easier and how to help dcd feel ok leaving her.
Any advice appreciated.
