    Mommy Day Poems

    a piece of me

hand print flower.... kid places hand print large piece of paper towards teh top of the paper, then places a foam heart in the middle. Paints a stem and two leaves. the fingers are the petals of the flower. the poem is placed on a seperate sheet of paper and then cut out and placed ontop of the larger piece with the art work in the lower corner....so cute.

    poem:

    a piece of me
    I give to you
    I painted this flower
    To say "i love you"

    the heart is you
    the hand is me
    to show we are friends-
    the best ther can be.
    .
I hope you will save it
    and look back someday
    At the flower we shared
    on YOUR special day

    Love kiddo

    Sometimes you get discouraged
    Because I am so small
    And always leave my fingerprints
    On furniture and walls.

But every day I'm growing -
    I'll be grown some day
    And all those tiny handprints
    Will surely fade away.

    So here's a little handprint
    Just so you can recall
    Exactly how my fingers looked
    When I was very small.

I have done this one probably 5 or 6 different years. It is one of my favorites!
