Days Like Today I Miss Being A Stay At Home Mom!

What do you guys do when your own kids have appointments? None of my assistants can help today. So either my kid has to wait to get into the chiro today or I have a friend take her. I hate to do that. I want to be with her! There is so very little flexibility with this job!!!

1)if it is an emergency, close dc
2)if it is an important appt, let friend take your child
3)if neither emergency nor important, reschedule for a time when your asst can watch dc kiddies

I would let my friend take my child. Unless there is an emergency or I just simply cannot function enough to run daycare (pretty rare) DC stays open.

I agree. I have no assistant or sub (hard to find quality ones around here) and I vow to quit doing daycare when my youngest starts school and be a daycare sub to help out all of us who need a break once and a while.

Can your friend stay with your DCKs while u run your child to the Dr?

I registered a couple friends as well as my Mother on my back up provider list at the office just in case something pops up. Bad part is most of them work so if they are at work I'm still at a loss.

It's not an emergency. She is just having pain in her low back an into her legs. So I just didn't want her to have to wait. So my friend is taking her, and if they need me, I will pack up the kids I have here and head down there I guess. It just makes me sad!
