Winter With Infants

I know most providers take kids outside in the winter if it's above freezing, but do you follow the same routine with an infant? I have a 3 mo now & get nervous about taking her outside in the cold. Is it any different than taking the 2 yo out?

swimming pool!! we put the sitters in the pool, with a blob or two of snow. They love it! The pool provides a bit more insulation, and provides them a safe place from the bigger kids

As long as they're bundled up properly and it's not -20, I don't see any problems with it. Can you take your infant out in a front pack? I have a 6 mo and plan on taking him out that way because I have a 15 mo also who won't be able to walk in snow yet so she'll get pulled in a toddler sled.
I have to be honest, if it weren't for the fact that my dogs have to go out 2x a day, I doubt we'd see much sunshine all winter long. Besides potty training, getting them all ready to go outside in the winter is my other most dreaded thing to do in dc.

Love this idea. This is my first year and I was trying to figure out how to get the little ones in on the snow play.
