It very well could be teething. He is drooling, whiny, mouthing everything. The last time he was like this he popped out a bunch of teeth at the same time. He did not have a fever though and the jury is out on whether teeth cause fevers so I err on the side of caution.
This morning he came in happy as a clam. I am really hoping they did not give him meds.
