Thank you guys for the help with a policy on holding a spot for an extended amount of time! I interviewed a family on Saturday (my request, I don't like doing business on weekends but our schedule is a bit chaotic, Saturday was definitely easiest) who's expecting, needs care in December. I honestly didn't think much would come from it, BUT, we met and no...I mean NO red flags. They were on time, respectful, polite, friendly etc. Plus with the exact schedule I want and age I want. They sent me a message yesterday saying they would like the spot if I would take them (no ftm has ever "got" it's a mutual descion so I was impressed there) so I signed them on. Thanks to you ladies I had a clear policy of deposit and the 50% weekly rate they need to pay each week to hold the spot. Bonus is I just redid another's families hours and rates and between the 50% from this family, and the increased rate, I'm not out very much money at all. And it's a nice break for a few months (very helpful as we homeschool and will have a few months to get used to first grade before adding a baby).
So yay! I am very grateful for the help! Now to just pray everything goes as planned
