Over It...

I think I'm starting to be over my job. I still like my job and the company, but this is my fifth year here and my tenth doing this, and I just feel over it. All I think about all week is clocking out on Thursday evening. I want to stay one more year after this one til my DD goes to kindergarten but the thought of essentially two more years is not exactly appealing....

Am I just in a slump?

Maybe a slump but maybe you're ready for a change too. I go through slumps, a lot, but I still wouldn't trade this job for any other. There are more pros than cons and I love the group I have now, parents and kids.

How long have you been feeling like this? How is the morale at your place of work? Can you make any changes within your job, to make it more appealing? Advancement, working from home part of the time, taking an extra day off here or there, going to lunch with co-workers? I can't remember what kind of work you're doing so maybe these suggestions won't be helpful.

I am feeling the same way. I love my group, love the parents but my desires are elsewhere lately.

I have my back up plan in the works. Might be done in January but I'm thinking I've got 2 more years, as well.

I have a bad few months sometimes, then get energized again. Make sure you are taking time for yourself. lovethis:hug:
