It's definitely fall out there now. My maple tree is about 80% fallen and the air is crisp and chilly, I love it! But so much to do before the ground freezes and snow comes. I have a HUGE pile of leaves in our backyard, just waiting for kids to jump in!

Yesterday was the perfect day to make apple butter... today we woke to 45 and it's gonna get into the 70's and getting hotter as the week progresses

I want the rest of my leaves to fall so I can get rid of them.

Happy Monday!

It's chilly here! We had a snow advisory over the weekend so our crisp Fall days are over and winter is knocking on our door in this area.

We got frost over the weekend so we spent the rest of the weekend pulling the garden and putting it to bed for the winter.

I for one am looking forward to winter. It's a nice time to settle in and enjoy the shorter days and not having to get so much done.

We have nice weather in the mornings here, but the afternoon is still pretty warm. Hopefully soon it will cool down enough to permanently turn the AC off and keep the windows open all day

OMG I'd give anything to have all my dcks sleeping right now. I have 6 kids, 2 fell asleep, 1 keeps coming over to me and asking me when she can get up, 1 is stomping her feet on the floor and calling my name(this is after I had to take her cot away because she was picking it up and slamming it on the floor to get my attention), 1 is transfixed on her iphone and her brother is quietly sobbing to himself in the living room(if you read my post in the private section you'll know why). Oy.....
