    Gift Ideas

    Hello!

I have been working in the child care field for over 10yrs, & I have had special bonds with many children. I have NEVER had a parent show me the amount of respect that 1 of my DCP does. Unfortunately the family will be moving out of state at the end of August & I'm going to miss them terribly. (insert tears) I wanted to do something nice for either the family or at least the baby, just to show my appreciation for them. Does anyone have any ideas? I like to think that I am pretty creative, so making something would be right up my alley. I'm going to look on Pinterest, but I figured I'd check here first. Thanks in advance for any advice!

What about a nice scrap book or photo album form their time with you?
You could also get a copy of "Oh the Places You Will Go"
A lot of people get that book for their children and have their teachers write a message for them each year as a keep sake. You could be their first entry!

I have the Oh the Places You Will Go book for my dd and give it to her teachers each year ---- did not start it until Kindergarten though. While I like it I would not suggest giving a gift that requires work for them....

My dd's preschool made a powerpoint type slideshow set to music of my dd's time in their care they put it on DVD for me which I still cherish and have to this day.

        Thanks!!

Since DCB is only 7mos old, I was thinking maybe a photo album toy with a few pictures in it from daycare? I think for DCM I'll just keep it simple with some flowers & a card, since I'll probably be crying too hard to speak ::
