How Do You Keep Your Cool???

    ARGGHHH
I only have 5 dcks today, 2 are SA on their ipods. One just fell asleep, 1 has been tossing and turning the past hour and the last 1 has gone from screaming to crying to being quiet to screaming again. She gets up and down, up and down, screams that she's all done sleeping. Yikes. She used to be my best napper, 1st to sleep and last to wake. She's an independent strong willed little thing, she's turning 3 yo next month.
Guess she finally tuckered herself all out, she's fallen asleep in the past 2 minutes it's taken me to write this.
Good thing cause I was losing what little I have left of my feeble mind.

LOL! Thank goodness! Sometimes what seems to be an easy day, is not easy at all!

I have four out today and their whole groove is off. They've argued. Pushed. Two even showed their food at the table. Ewwww.

I love a big group. There's less drama and fighting.

If I don't take my Prozac first thing in the morning I find I anger more easily. It just helps me keep my cool and be nice Miss A, as no one wants to see Miss A the Big Ol' B!

I also used to sit by my older nappers who had a tough time calming down. And it sounds bad, but I used to rest my leg on one and pat another's back if I needed to calm 2 kiddos. Just having the firm touch of my leg resting on their back was enough to calm a child and reassure them that I was near.

Treating myself to something helps at nap time if I'm feeling stressed out.
Lately it has been bubbly water with a lemon squeezed in it. Doesn't have to a BIG treat.

Dang- I was thinking the same thing!::

I tend to have something running in the back of my mind when it is nuts. Usually either building something in my shop or remembering someplace I've been that I enjoyed. Think of it kind of like a window on a computer that's been minimized. There and working but not visible if that makes sense.

If I ever write a daycare tell-all book, that is definitely a working title!

Wow sounds like you had quite the day. I keep my cool somewhat by thinking of what I want to do once work is finished for the day. I also whistle songs, and I listen to music too .

When dcm read dcgs note, she said yeh the only way she can get her to go to bed at night is if she lays down with her now. Well, *that* ain't happening. It's just weird because she's always been so good about it, until the past couple weeks. Must be the terrible twos are hitting hard and late with this one.
She's such a cutie pie though.

I have a couple I simply hate to be tough with

Hoping thing get better soon, it's tough when a behavior change just pops up.

Oh I know! I *try* to be firm but it is tough with her. She's got that little impish look and is so precocious. She hit her mom one night at p/u; she was over excited and happy to see mom, so her mom sent her to sit on the couch. After a couple times of jumping off and acting silly, mom was clearly losing this battle. Mom tried to hide her chuckles. But I told her she was losing credibility fast. Lol

Love her to pieces but so glad she goes home at the end of the day.
