I set up a home phone line, that will be used just for daycare. It is $12 a month thru my internet/tv provider with unlimited calls. I also set up an email account just for the daycare. After hours and on weekends the phone ringer will be off and the emails only returned during business hours.

I LOVE the ease of text but don't really want to make it that easy for parents to have access to me.

When you close, turn it off. When you open, turn it on.

If they e-mail...do not read and do not reply unless it is business hours.

      Easy peasy.
Oooo i love this idea!! I might try that. I tried to not even give up my cell phone number and just use a land line and email but people are so dependent on texting.

I recently redid my handbook and added the no contact unless its business hours. I turn off my business phone at the end of the day and turn it on at opening hours. I use to have parents texting me at all hours. Not anymore, and if they do I don't get the message until opening time.
