I've gotten used to the insane craigslist people. I've had great results from Care.com, but everyone is in their first trimester. Yesterday I had a "lovely" conversation with a woman from Care. My ad + my website both clearly state that I am only accepting babies up until 12 months. She very nicely asked me if I would consider taking her 15 month old. She seemed nice enough so I agreed to a phone interview with her. We talked for more than 30 min and I was actually feeling hopeful about this one. Then out of nowhere she announces that her baby is actually 2 1/2 but I "had to take him because there were older kids on my website"..AND she couldn't afford to pay me until she gets her first paycheck a couple of weeks after he starts. 
I was pissed at this point and remained professional and told her that I was sorry but she wasn't a fit for my program. Then she went off and starts screaming at me about being a racist! I don't even know what race this lunatic is!
Then I lost my temper and told her that I have a black baby, a white baby and a Spanish baby, so unless she is oriental, I've got all my basis covered. Now I'm embarrassed that I allowed myself to lose my temper instead of remaining professional.
