    Streamlined Wait-List

I've started using mail-chimp to stream line my wait list. Now, when someone wants on my waitlist, I point them to my waitlist questionnaire (www.lilsprouts.net/waitlist), from there they find a link to sign up for an email list. This e-mail list goes out automatically the 1st of every month.

In the e-mail, there are two options, one button to click to stay on the waitlist, one button to be removed. Clicking the removal button removes them from the e-mail list without any effort on my part.

Now, all i have to do is update when I have spots in the monthly e-mail. If I don't, the email remains the same. I can track who actually clicks on the "opt-in" button so I know who is really interested. And people who aren't are easily removed because the e-mail is frequent enough to be annoying if they aren't interested in care. Win-win!

This is AWESOME! What site do you use to host your website/the questionnaire?

Also, do you move down you wait list in order, or based on the best fit your your program?

I use mail chimp for weekly newsletters, but how do you create an opt-in choice?

    Thank you for sharing!

So, my website is hosted with my hosting company - IX. But I use Wordpress and a customs theme to manage it. I created a page through Wordpress, then use a plugin call contact form 7 to generate the questionnaire. It emails the answers to me. I'm considering making a separate email just for the wait list stuff.

The only downside is the opt-in button doesn't inform me that someone has opted in. I have to go into the stats for the campaign to see who pressed it. I'm going to try and figure out a way to get it to email me when someone has opted in (maybe tying my email to the button click somehow).

I pick and choose who I want from the wait list, just like I would if I had 5 people interviewing for one spot.

That's fantastic! Do you use the free version of MailChimp or the paid?

The free version. If I have over 2000 subscribers you need to pay - but I can't imagine my wait list ever being that long!
