Crazy Responses to Ads

No matter how specifically I word it, each ad generates at least 3 or 4 calls asking about the job I posted. How do they read "one opening for 6 weeks to 4 year old child" as "I have one opening for a part time employee"?
Hubby says that unemployment requires a certain number of contacts each week. In this small town, they run out of places to call pretty fast. :: Anytime anything remotely business like appears, they all pounce on it.
I also got a pervy call wanting to know how much I would charge to change his diapers. shudder- Flag

I get a lot of "pretty much raise my child" type of ads. One woman wanted a 5am drop off and 5:30 pick up, 5 days a week and absolutely no days off, vacations etc for the provider. Another said she "may" be able to pick up by 6 but some nights it would be closer to 1am
I had one who insisted dcb would come by taxi, and I would need to call the taxi to get him home (child was 1) that one I was just like are you kidding me?! No...no taxi drop offs what so ever and yeah she was MAD.- Flag

Scams:
>My name is Mary,I am hard hearing, We are moving to your area, I need a babysitter for my son and an errand at your own convenience time, with a start salary of $400 apply with your cell number for more details about the offer and the payments involved in the job..
Idiots:
>Still searching?
>>I do have space open. What are your needs?
>>>I think I misread your ad, I thought you were looking for child care/mentor
And never going to happen:
>Well I'm trying to go back 2 school and I was looking more for like 50 to 65 a week! She has a feeding tube as well- Flag

That is interesting! I hadn't heard of people getting pranked/scammed etc that way before but the whole conversation just seemed "off" to me. The reply came from a Childcare group for our area from fb and typically the scams come from Craigslist (in my experience). Checked out the profile and it was a bit odd but not a big red flag as to "not legitimate" just enough to be like huh, this is...different. Going to be a bit more cautious here. Then the messages...and yeah it was very strange.- Flag
