So today was our field trip to the YMCA for swimming, playing in the gym, the game room and then to park for picnic lunch and playing. It is a park in a different town, so not the one they play at often. For the most part they were very well behaved. But I am so tired! We have another big field trip Friday. Hope I am rested up by then!

They had a blast. It was obvious that none of them have spent much time in a real pool. But that is part of what I love about my job, watching them learn and discover. The lifeguard at the Y was great and let us borrow two child's life jackets as my two youngest were just short of touching in the shallow end. It made it much more fun for them and easier for DD and I to not have to hold on to them constantly. They got a bit more freedom. DD being a lifeguard also made it much easier for me mentally anyway. I had lifeguard training in HS, but that was ages ago.
They seemed a little bored in the gym, my fault I am sure I couldn't think up any fun "gym" games to play with the limited supplies we had.
Swimming and the park were the two biggest hits. I hope they have as much fun Friday at the museum.- Flag
