I mentioned in another post how my oven smoked, hissed and popped this week, died right as I was trying to make pizza yesterday. I sent the parents a note home because the dcks were talking about fire and everything. I didn't want anyone to hear their child's version of what happened.
Dcm walks in at pick-up today, whispers to her dd and hands her a bank envelope to give to me. Her dd says this is for the oven. I tried giving it back, many times, telling her it was way too overly generous and she seriously did not need to do this. So she looks at her dd and says 'you tell Miss R*** when you receive a gift you're supposed to accept it and say thank you'. So I did. Then I cried and gave her and her dd a hug.
Now, between the $ they gave me today and the Home Depot gift card they gave me at Christmas, it most likely will be free.
I am humbled and grateful beyond words tonight.

It just shows how very much they value you! Congratulations on finding gold with that family!
