    Christmas Trees

For in-home providers, how do you keep your day care children away from the Christmas tree?

This. Thankfully I am closed Dec 23-Jan 1 so as soon as the last child leaves on Dec 22 I take the gates down. My own kids are older so we don't need them for us.

I just tell them no After saying it a few times the first day to various kids they all get it. I don't have infants/crawlers though. Mine are 15mths and up.

This. I have my grown up tree in the living room and our kid tree in the playroom (which the kids can touch, play with and redecorate). The grown up tree is right by the sliding glass door that has access to the backyard so we pass it daily. No one has ever touched it. They will look and point but know not to touch.

Same. My youngest is 2yrs. They all know that they can look, but no touch

I have a 10 month old and 3 year old. No gate around the tree. The 10 month old looked at it curiously and reached 3 times today. Saying no worked perfectly. The 3 year old never even went near it
