CDA required for license exempt in Tennessee??

I'm starting coursework soon to finish my associates in ECED and was informed by someone at the TECTA office that the law is changing regarding license exempt status in Tennessee. She said that DHS is going to require a CDA, even for those with technical certificates. Does anyone know anything or has anyone heard anything about this ? I always thought the technical certificate superseded the CDA but she said not for DHS.

I knew that was coming but haven't heard there had been a date set yet. Now I know...I have always been advised to keep my CDA current even though I have an Associates in ECED as well. I wonder what else is on the table for providers in Tennessee.
