I've had my home daycare for 2 years now and consistently get referrals/calls wanting to know if I have any openings. Ultimately, my goal is to open a center. So I guess I'd like to ask for some opinions on whether I should expand my home business into a group home before opening a center or just go straight to opening a center.
I love being home with my own children but I also like the idea of having my home be my home and not my work place as well.
With the little number crunching I've done, it doesn't seem like a group home would increase my income as I'd have to hire someone else and all of the new kids would go to pay that person.
