I have a new 2 yr old DCG. She is pretty quiet and shy, but also very stubborn. She will cry at drop off, and then be fine while we are doing structured activities (outside play, coloring ect). But as soon as we do any type of free play (I have two periods of free play during the day) - she sits at my door and just sobs "mama". I always redirect and try not to oay her too much attention, but she always gravitates back to the door. Sometimes this will happen while we are doing songs and circle time.
I know it is early to be expecting her to adjust (3rd day) but is there anything I can do besides keeping her constantly busy? I am used to one on one care (I was a nanny) and this is new territory for me. Other than that her mom is great and is really relaxed. So much better than allergy parent. Haha.
