    Cleaning Pee Out of Couch?

Dcg had an accident and peed on the couch this morning. I shampooed it and it still smells like pee. What can I use to get that smell out?

I use "natures miracle" for my pet smells in the carpet. It helps. I buy it by the gallon at Tractor Suppy, but you can also buy it other places. You can buy less than a gallon, but I use it often so it is cheaper that way for me.

I ordered some "anti icky poo" but it didn't seem any better, and I was a little put off by the labeling saying it killed the odor of corpses. Really it is child care LOL.

I use Vinegar, i know it sounds weird but it does the trick. just put half vinegar in a spray bottle and half water. soak area as much as possible first then spray with v&w and put paper towels over it. Once it dries you shouldnt be able to smell either the pee or vinegar ( Vinegar smell disappers once dry) if that dosnt work pour baking soda over it and let it sit, then vaccume up, then spray v&w on it again. Hope that helps. I use vinegar to clean everything!! its a disenfectant too

I second vinegar! It works great to neutralize urine Oder. I've even used full strength and after spraying area sprinkle on baking soda and let dry.

I also used this same method with carpet stains and it removed stains wonderfully.

Some days my vacuum wouldn't pick it all up.

I also use vinegar. The smell of vinegar dissipates afterwards and whatever is in the vinegar apparently breaks down the stinky enzymes in urine. We used vinegar on our couch when the cat pee'd on it and even natures miracle didn't work (we had been away for a few days and my mom accidentally left the cat inside. When my mother in law came to feed the cat she let the cat out but didn't know about the couch and the urine stayed there the entire time we were gone Had to saturate the couch and keep a plastic bag on it for 2 days but it worked)
