I have 20 books for sale on Ebay

Actually I gave them to my son to sell as he is starting out with Ebay.

There are 20 books and 17 of them are board books.

Here is the link if you are interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141651632131...131%26_rdc%3D1

    Thanks, Laurel

P.S. Michael said posting this was okay.

Just a thought, but I never order anything with the shipping set so high, especially books as they are cheapest to ship with media mail.

I will ask him about that. I told him I would use economy shipping at least unless a customer asks to get it fast. Let me check, maybe he could change it.

He changed it. It cut the price for shipping in half.

Thanks so much for the heads up.

No biggie. I will always pay a fair price for a product. But it always feels to me if they set the product really cheap and the shipping high, I don't know it feels like they are up to something KWIM? Lots of people do it, but I don't get it .

I always think that too. That is why I asked him why he chose expedited shipping. He said ebay figures the postage automatically OR you can put in a rate yourself. I never really checked it out. He also says that a customer can change it from expedited to economy if they don't care if it gets to them faster. I don't really know as as I have rarely used ebay and when I did things were different.

He is new to it and he had never even heard of media mail. I am 'old' and I told him that has been around before ebay so he is still learning all of this. Also I think ebay shows you the postage to where you live. It showed $10 and some change when I saw it the first time and then $5 and some change after he changed it and that was the same zip code! ::

One time I emailed someone and told them I would bid on their product but the postage was so high and why was it so high? That person said that that was the rate he calculated from the post office. So I dunno.

This ebay stuff is a learning process! But I really do appreciate you commenting because he wasn't listening to mom but he listened to someone else....you! ::

I just shipped 15 of my books to a trainer in Des Moines which weighed about 13 pounds media mail and it was eight bucks.

It cost me 2.80 to media mail ship one book anywhere in the US

Actually he has shipped some other things at the post office the cheapest way possible and it is more expensive than we both thought! I guess I just haven't mailed a package in a long time!

Postage prices have gone way up. They say it has a lot to do with email and such, but I'm not so sure. I still get plenty enough junk mail.
