Then she said they sent them an e-mail saying ignore the last e-mail.

With the way things are going..... it's hard to tell what is and isn't a joke huh?

Some things are concrete and going to happen 2016-17, some things are "proposed" so not sure. But many of the things we deal with now we were told were "proposed" but then "BAM" they became law????? The baseline number for hours to be licensed is more than doubling so this will impact the QRIS report card greatly along with raising the bar in each component! It is all being talked about and meetings being held. Expecting to hear more within two months????

How much you wanna bet more TN providers will drop their licenses and go down to 4 kids to stay legally exempt? I take a lot of extra classes already just to stay on top of things because I do take fosters as respite care; a lot of parents will be bitching that providers need to close more to take certain trainings.

The problem is very few providers in my area are legally unlicensed when they choose to give up their license. In my area alone, I know of 2 providers keeping 11 kids daily and are on the food program. How do they get by with that? They are only counting the correct number for food program but NO ONE will turn them in because very little gets done! AND yes, I see the numbers of licensed home dropping tremendously again when these rules go into effect.

Here it's just the opposite... More license exempt than licensed, however I have seen a few that obviously run with more than they should. We can be on the food program regardless of being full license and we can take vouchers too, but as you know that isn't all it's cracked up to be even in the 20 highest counties. I gave up taking families first clients when the last two refused to pay the difference between what the state paid & I charged. I told DHS exactly why I was dropping them... I'm private pay only now
