Child(Boy) All Of A Sudden Will Not Sit Down To Poop

Anyone ever had a child that is fully potty trained all of a sudden not sit down while poop. 3 year old boy, potty trained. Stands up to pee, sits to poop. But the past few days will poop on floor or t seat and just stand there. When I try to put him on toilet, he fights a little bit and doesn't want to just says ok that's enough.
I know kids regress at times for lots of differnt reasons, but I can't think of why he would. Just started daycare last week, though not his first time in daycare. Was at a differnt center for about 2 months.

I had a 4 yr old that did that! She went from fully potty trained to stand at the play kitchen and poop...we had no idea why but we knew she had always been manipulative so we just assumed it was another way to get attention.
I don't know your boy and I'm not saying he's doing it for attention, but a new daycare can be a big deal to a kid.

Original poster. I hope that is all it is him being in a new and very different type of daycare environment than before. Doctor has advised to bring him in.

I doubt it's due to a physical issue ,but I'm curious to see what the doctor says.
